High User Volume
The design center facility comprises 2000 users, Managing such a significant number of users poses challenges in ensuring seamless connectivity and data access for all individuals within the facility.
Large Data Handling

Solution Designed & Implemented
To address these challenges, we implemented a comprehensive network upgrade involving several key actions:
Fiber Optic Network Expansion
We expanded the network coverage by 700 meters using single-mode 12-core fiber cables. This ensured seamless connectivity across designated HUB rooms both pre- and post-migration.
UTP Cable Infrastructure Enhancement
We enhanced the UTP cable infrastructure by laying and terminating cables for 280 users and accommodating 18 additional users. Pre- and post-migration OTDR testing ensured optimal performance and reliability.
Network Equipment Optimization
We refreshed and spliced 372 multi-mode 6-core fiber pigtails and improved accessibility and maintenance through rack dressing in all HUB rooms. The deployment of a single virtual chassis solution upgraded the existing 1G and 10G access network.
High Availability Network Configuration
We enhanced fiber optic connections and boosted network efficiency and management capabilities through the deployment of a single virtual chassis solution.
Network Management and Monitoring
We installed JUNOS Space Network Director and added the new migrated topology to the monitoring tool, enabling centralized management and monitoring of the network infrastructure.

Operational Simplicity
The implementation of a single operating system for access and distribution switches simplified network management. Features like configuration comparison, auto-rollback, and modular operating systems reduced human errors and ensured high network uptime. Switch virtualization technologies further simplified management, increasing productivity and efficiency.
Solution Scalability
The deployed solution is scalable both horizontally and vertically. The current distribution switches can support up to 1000 additional 1G/10G users. Junos fusion architecture can support up to 128 access switches, accommodating over 6000 access ports.
Enhanced Performance
By addressing critical infrastructure needs, we ensured that Mahindra & Mahindra’s design center could handle its high user volume and data demands efficiently. The upgraded network now provides robust, high-speed connectivity, supporting the center’s operational and productivity goals.
